FitEdit fans,
FitEdit 8 is out today.
New Features:
- Faster startup. FitEdit is now compiled to native code. It opens in about a third of the time, and it uses about a third less memory.
- Sort Data columns. On the Data tab, you can now click a column header to sort by that column. Clicking again reverses the order.
- Clearer field values. Fields named "Type", such as a goal's type, now show their own values, like "Time" or "Distance". Enhanced fields, such as enhanced speed and enhanced altitude, now show their values instead of appearing empty.
- Watches on Linux arm64. FitEdit can now read activities from your watch on Linux arm64 computers.
Here the records are sorted by heart rate, highest first:
And here are enhanced speed and enhanced altitude, which FitEdit 7 showed as empty:
And here are two goals, whose types now show as "Time" and "Distance":
Bugfixes:
- Selecting a lap or a range of records no longer crashes the app when the map draws it.
- Double-clicking an activity twice no longer stops it from opening.
- Some files with several records at the same time could not be opened after saving. They now save correctly.
If you already have FitEdit, it will update itself. Otherwise, you can download it here.
Happy FIT file editing,
Doug, creator of FitEdit
